DMC 102 to Sullivans: Thread Conversion

Sullivans 45214 provides a close approximation to the general royal blue tone of DMC 102. Sullivans threads tend to have slightly less twist than DMC, which can affect how solidly the color covers the fabric — worth checking with a test stitch before filling a large area. Like all solid substitutes here, you trade the thread's inherent movement for consistency. For designs where the variegation was doing decorative work, that's a meaningful change; for simpler motifs, it matters less.
