Madeira 2205 is a close alternative in the light yellow-beige range. The slight Madeira sheen may make the pale golden warmth read as fractionally more luminous than DMC's more matte version, which can be attractive in pieces displayed under warm lighting where a subtle glow is desirable. For pieces that will be framed behind glass or displayed in cool gallery lighting, the finish difference is less relevant.
