DMC 166 to Cosmo: Thread Conversion

Cosmo 972 is a close match in the vivid moss-green range. Cosmo's softer thread hand reduces the yellow-green intensity by a small but perceptible degree — the Cosmo version reads as slightly softer and less insistent than the DMC original. For designs where 166's full chartreuse energy is essential to the palette impact (tropical motifs, contemporary floral compositions, bold geometric borders), test Cosmo 972 at full stitch density before committing. For applications where a slightly mellowed version is actually preferred, the Cosmo take works well.
