Anchor 1070 is close-rated rather than exact for DMC 992 Medium Aquamarine — a meaningful distinction for the middle value in a shading progression. Anchor's aquamarine range doesn't maintain a perfect one-to-one correspondence with DMC's three-value 991-992-993 system, and Anchor 1070 may differ in value or saturation from the intended medium position. For mermaid scale or ocean designs where 992 bridges the dark shadow (991) and the light highlight (993), testing Anchor 1070 in context with the adjacent family values before committing is particularly important.
