DMC 3746 to Cosmo: Thread Conversion

Cosmo 145 is a close match for DMC 3746. Blue violets are particularly sensitive to even small shifts in the blue-versus-red balance of the purple, since the cool-warm relationship with surrounding colors is often what the thread is chosen to achieve. Cosmo 145 is adequate for most decorative applications; for designs where 3746's specific position on the cool side of purple is doing meaningful palette work — particularly in complementary contrast with warm oranges — a direct comparison is worthwhile.
