DMC 3022 to Anchor: Thread Conversion

Anchor 8581 is listed as close for DMC 3022, and it is usable, but some stitchers find it runs a fraction cooler than the DMC original — losing a bit of the warm brown undertone that makes DMC 3022 effective as a warm shadow color. For portrait skin tone work or warm-subject outlining where the brown warmth specifically prevents shadows from looking ashy, the temperature difference is worth noting. Test Anchor 8581 against your skin tone or warm-subject threads before committing to a large portrait project.
