DMC 282 to Madeira: Thread Conversion

Madeira 1615 handles the medium-value olive zone well, and at this mid-value range, Madeira's smoother finish becomes slightly more visible than it would be on darker threads. The result on evenweave or linen can be quite attractive — the olive tone gains a subtle luminosity that DMC's more matte finish doesn't provide. For designs that will be displayed under warm incandescent lighting, this added shimmer can enhance the warmth of the thread. The close match rating reflects a small hue variation, not a quality concern.
