DMC 121 to Sullivans: Thread Conversion

Sullivans 45201 provides a close match to the Delft blue midtone as a solid thread. The consistent coverage of a solid works well when this color is used in borders, geometric elements, or small scattered motifs where the variegation effect of DMC 121 would be minimally visible at normal viewing distance. For large tile-pattern backgrounds or windmill and tulip fills where the ceramic handpainted quality is the whole point, a variegated substitute from Sullivans' own multicolor line would be more faithful to the original's intent.
