DMC 121 to Madeira: Thread Conversion

Madeira 1006 is a close match in the medium blue range with Madeira's typical smooth finish and slight sheen. The sheen can actually work in your favor for ceramic-inspired designs — real Delft pottery has a glossy glaze surface, and Madeira's slightly more luminous thread surface can hint at that ceramic quality. As a solid thread, the color is consistent rather than variable, but the overall impression in a completed piece is closer to the original than most solid substitutes.
