DMC 104 to Madeira: Thread Conversion

Madeira 0901 is a close match in the blue-violet range with Madeira's characteristically smooth, slightly silky finish. The transitions between light and dark values tend to be more gradual in Madeira variegated threads, which in this ethereal, ambiguous color can produce a dreamlike blended quality. A good option for atmospheric fantasy and sky designs — just be aware that the softer transitions may be less dramatic than what DMC produces in the same area of stitching.
