DMC 861 to Cosmo: Thread Conversion

Cosmo 176 is a close match for DMC 861 Light Gray. Cosmo's silkier thread finish may give their light gray a marginally more luminous quality than DMC's matte 861. For contemporary minimalist designs and Scandinavian-inspired palettes where a clean, slightly luminous light gray is desirable, this can work in the substitute's favor. For traditional atmospheric fog and bird portraiture where a matte, honest gray quality is preferred, testing the Cosmo version on your actual fabric is advisable before committing.
