DMC 3842 to Anchor: Thread Conversion

Anchor 164 is a close match for DMC 3842 Dark Wedgwood. Anchor's version in this blue-green family reads as slightly more blue and marginally less teal than the DMC original — the characteristic controlled blue-green of the Wedgwood family is subtly shifted toward a cleaner blue in the Anchor interpretation. If your design relies on 3842's distinctly teal quality to separate water from sky or to anchor a blue-green palette with a specific period feel, the hue shift may be noticeable in context. For standalone Anchor projects where the dark teal-blue serves a more general depth role, it's a practical and workable conversion. Avoid mixing Anchor 164 and DMC 3842 in adjacent stitched areas, as the hue difference will create a subtle but visible seam where the threads meet.
