DMC 3781 to Madeira: Thread Conversion

Madeira 2001 is a close match but tends to read slightly more neutrally than DMC 3781 — less of the warm red-orange undertone that makes this thread so useful in wood, bark, and earth-toned shadow applications. For designs where you simply need a dark brown at this value, Madeira 2001 works fine. For portrait work or nature subjects where 3781's specific warmth is doing essential work, compare both threads under daylight before making the swap.
