Madeira 1213 is close-rated for DMC 94. Madeira's variegated threads tend to have longer color runs between shifts, creating broader, more gradual gradients in stitched areas. This can be an advantage for large cross-country foliage fills, where a wider sweep of color transition reads as more naturalistic. The slightly higher sheen of Madeira thread adds a subtle luminosity to the green range that some stitchers find enhances the water-plant quality of this color.
