DMC 823 to Madeira: Thread Conversion

Madeira 1008 is a close match for DMC 823, with the difference appearing in the blue-violet balance. Madeira's equivalent may read marginally more purple-toned in certain lighting, which is most noticeable when placing the skein directly next to DMC 823. In finished stitchwork, especially in large dark fill areas, this undertone shift is rarely visible at normal viewing distance. Madeira's colorfastness in dark blues is generally excellent, making 1008 a sound choice for framed or long-displayed pieces where dye stability matters.
