DMC 3843 to Madeira: Thread Conversion

Madeira 1101 is a close match for DMC 3843 Electric Blue. Madeira produces a vivid cyan that is reasonably consistent with 3843, and some stitchers find Madeira's version reads as marginally cleaner in the blue register — slightly less green-shifted — which may actually be an advantage for projects where the blue-over-cyan character of 3843 is already the desired quality. Madeira's thread is well-made and consistent at this level of saturation, with good dye lot reliability across multiple skeins. For projects in the vivid cyan color family — video game sprite adaptations, neon-inspired geometric designs, tropical aquatic fills — Madeira 1101 is one of the more reliable alternative sources and worth stocking as a backup to the DMC original.
