DMC 3835 to Anchor: Thread Conversion

Anchor 98 is a close match for DMC 3835 Medium Grape that tends to read as slightly more blue-purple compared to 3835's warmer red-grape quality. The saturation is similar and the value is comparable, but the hue difference is visible in direct side-by-side comparison. For full Anchor projects in the grape range, Anchor 98 is a coherent choice. Mixing Anchor 98 with DMC 3835 in adjacent stitched areas — for example, using Anchor for dark and light values but DMC for mid — is best avoided as the undertone shift shows where the threads meet.
