DMC 307 to Madeira: Thread Conversion

Madeira 0104 is close but not exact. Some dye lots of Madeira 0104 lean slightly greener than DMC 307's warmer, more golden character. This shift is very subtle — you probably would not notice it in a multi-color design — but it can show in large, solid areas of yellow where the green tint becomes apparent as the stitches accumulate. For detailed work and highlight applications where DMC 307 appears in small quantities, Madeira 0104 is a perfectly adequate substitute. For a design that uses this as a large fill color, a preliminary swatch comparison is worthwhile.
