As with Sullivans' other variegated threads, shorter segment lengths may create more frequent color transitions — which for grass, foliage, and meadow designs is usually a naturalistic quality. The warm, olive-leaning character of DMC 122 is the essential quality to preserve; if the Sullivans version maintains that warmth throughout its gradient rather than introducing any cool or blue-green tones, it will serve well for landscape stitching.
