DMC 3850 to Madeira: Thread Conversion

Madeira 1216 is a close match for DMC 3850 Dark Bright Green. Madeira's bright green family at this value range tends to be reliably accurate, and 1216 is a dependable substitute for large-scale teal-green palette projects. The saturation level is comparable to the DMC version and the thread quality is consistent between dye lots. One important note: Madeira 1216 also appears as a listed substitute for DMC 3911 (Ultra Light Emerald Green), which is a very different shade at the bright, light end of the green family. Confirm you have the correct darker, deeper shade when purchasing 1216 for 3850 use — the two applications are at opposite ends of the value scale and any confusion would be immediately visible in the finished work.
