Madeira 1104 is a close match for DMC 3846 Light Bright Turquoise and is a genuinely distinct shade from Madeira 1103 (the 3845 equivalent). This means Madeira maintains adequate separation between adjacent values at the lighter end of this family — a real advantage if you're working the full three-shade bright turquoise gradient in a brand other than DMC. The lighter value is well-made and consistent between lots, with good coverage despite the elevated brightness. Madeira is probably the best alternative source if you need to complete the full 3844-3845-3846 gradient outside the DMC range — it preserves all three steps more reliably than most competing brands.
