DMC 3836 to Anchor: Thread Conversion

Anchor 90 is a close match for DMC 3836 Light Grape, though Anchor's lighter purples tend toward a cooler, bluer cast than DMC's warmer grape tones at light values. Anchor 90 reads as more lavender than warm-grape in many lighting conditions — a difference that is proportionally more visible at this light value than it would be in the darker family members. For standalone projects, Anchor 90 is a fine soft purple. For the full grape family gradient, keeping all three shades in Anchor maintains internal family coherence.
