DMC 3701 to Anchor: Thread Conversion

Anchor 1024 is the documented equivalent for DMC 3701 Salmon Pink and is workable for most applications. In practice, some stitchers find it reads slightly pinker and less orange-warm than the DMC original — the salmon character, that specific orange-warmth that distinguishes 3701 from a plain bright pink, is partially muted in the Anchor version. For tropical and folk art designs where the orange-salmon quality is central, a swatch test before large fills is recommended.
