DMC 3684 to Anchor: Thread Conversion

Anchor 1028 is the most commonly recommended equivalent for DMC 3684 Very Dark Antique Mauve and works acceptably for most projects, though it reads slightly more straightforwardly pink than the grayed, dusty DMC version. The antique quality — that specific muting that makes 3684 useful for historical and shadow work — is partially lost in the Anchor equivalent. For pieces where the dusty character is central to the design, the shift is worth evaluating with a test swatch.
