DMC 327 to Cosmo: Thread Conversion

Cosmo 284 is a reasonable alternative that sits in the dark violet territory. Cosmo's purples tend to have very good color stability — they resist fading well over time, which is worth considering for heirloom pieces that will hang in natural light for years. The color match is close, with perhaps a very subtle difference in saturation that makes Cosmo 284 appear very slightly less intense than DMC 327 in some lighting conditions. For pansy and butterfly designs where the deep violet is the dominant color, this subtlety is unlikely to affect the finished result.
