DMC 29 to Sullivans: Thread Conversion

Sullivans 45427 covers the eggplant purple territory as a close match. Very dark, saturated threads like this one are where brand differences tend to show up most clearly when threads are stitched side by side — the deep color makes any temperature or saturation variation more apparent than it would be in a lighter shade. Use Sullivans 45427 for the entire project if substituting, rather than mixing it with DMC 29. The thread construction differs from DMC, so maintaining consistent stitch tension throughout will help ensure even coverage in dark fill areas.
