DMC 605 to Sullivans: Thread Conversion

Sullivans 45140 is a close match with a slightly fluffier thread texture than DMC. This construction difference affects stitch packing — the Sullivans thread fills fabric gaps slightly more generously, which can make the color read as denser in large filled areas. At this pale value, the denser packing can actually be beneficial for coverage on light fabrics where very pale threads can look slightly see-through at standard tension. A functional substitute for most pale pink applications. Compare dye lots if purchasing multiple skeins for a large project, as pale colors vary more between lots than saturated ones — two skeins of Very Light Cranberry from different production batches can read detectably different side-by-side.
