DMC 3740 to Madeira: Thread Conversion

Madeira 0810 is listed as a close match for DMC 3740, but there is an important caveat: the same Madeira number is also cited as an equivalent for DMC 3726 (Dark Antique Mauve). In this area of the DMC range, Madeira's color assignments don't fully differentiate between these two threads. If your project uses both 3740 and 3726, staying within DMC for both avoids potential confusion. For projects using 3740 alone, Madeira 0810 approximates the dark grayed-violet character adequately for most applications.
